SATURDAY 19th JULY 2025

To our amazement, our Free Tennis Open Day miraculously evaded the rain. With dark skies looming all morning and rain falling, by the time we opened up at 2pm, the weather had lifted. We were fortunate to have some blue sky and sunshine until we finished at 5pm.

JWT Coaching were busy giving organised coaching sessions to all ages from toddlers to not-so toddlers! It was great to see so many adults enjoying tennis for the first time having never picked up a racket before.

Parents and families were having a great time just doing their own thing on our 'family' courts. The JWT coaches ran all sorts of coaching games which had the kids running about, laughing and having fun with ball games and racket play.

After working up a thirst and appetite, our BBQ and Cafe did a roaring trade with burgers, tea, coffee, cakes and refreshments while the licensed bar refreshed the adults.

Our Free Tennis Open Days are going from strength to strength and are proving very popular with the local community.
