LTA babalot summer shield league Aylesbury tennis clubWe have 18 teams representing the club in the Bucks Shield and the Aylesbury District League.

ATC play in a number of divisions in the Buckinghamshire Babolat Summer Shield.
Men's: Divisions - Premier, 3, 9 and 11
Women's: Divisions - 1, 4 and 9
Mixed Doubles: Division - 4

In the Winter Bucks Shield starting October 1st, we have Veterens Men's, Ladies and Mixed teams.

This consists of 2 Ladies teams 40+, 2 Men's teams 45+ and 2 Mixed.
There are also 1 Ladies Super Vets team 50+, 1 Ladies Super Vets team 60+ and a Men's singles 45+

 

Aylesbury District League
This is competitive tennis for clubs within about 15 miles of Aylesbury.
There is a Summer season and Winter season. The number of teams can sometimes vary due to availability.

In the summer, we take part in Men's, Ladies and Mixed leagues.

3 Men's teams playing in Division 3, 4 and 7
3 Ladies teams playing in Division 1, 2, 5 and 6
3 Mixed teams playing in Division 2, 3 and 4

AYLESBURY TENNIS CLUB - Box League

Our Head Coach, James Woodwards is organising the Box League which is run directly through the LTA.

BOX LEAGUE RULES

  • Each match will be best of 3 sets
  • Sets 1 & 2, 7 point tiebreak at 6-6. Set 3 if needed, match tiebreak to 10 points (with 2 clear points).
  • You have 4 weeks to complete each Round
  • It is the responsibility of all players to make contact ASAP with their opponents to maximise the amount of time available to fulfil fixtures. Please do not make arrangements to play matches after the date given as the end of the round.
  • Players will be awarded 2 points for a win and 1 point for a loss, which will be used to generate group standings at the end of each Round.
  • At the end of each Round, top 2 players will be promoted, and the bottom 2 relegated. If there is a draw on points then set percentage, game percentage and head to head results will decide placings.
  • The winners of matches are responsible for uploading the results online immediately after the match is completed. 
  • If, after entering, you no longer wish to play, please withdraw your entry online, letting the Organiser and your next opponent(s) know immediately.
  • In the event of a dispute, the Organiser’s ruling is final. Please help to make the Rounds run smoothly by organising and playing your matches within the allotted time frame. 
  • Avoid playing matches at peak time (Tues, Weds, Thurs and Fri between 6-8pm)
  • Club Night balls should not be used for matches; you can purchase new ones in the pro-shop or supply your own.
  • If you wish to join the box leagues after Round 1 has started, the closing date for entries into the following Round is 7 days before the start of the month.
